The 1 Line Description
When to use it
Key Ideas
This simple workshop is for you and your team to align on what is the most important aspects of your business. It's also a great tool to get your first draft of a sales or investor deck in a very quick manner.
This is how it works
Step 1: Invite members from your team and FF team you want to contribute. You need at least 1h.
Step 2: Set up a Miro Board using the '6 Slide Pitch Workshop' template
Step 3: Run Workshop.
You should also decide whether you want to facilitate or delegate the facilitation to someone else. Someone from the product team is likely a good choice for facilitator.
The workshop has the following agenda:
- Intro to the workshop
- Create your story board (10 min)
- Share storyboard 1 by 1
- Voting
- Discussion
- Create Master Storyboard
Each participant gets 10 min to create a version of how they would present the startup in 6 slides. Miro is a great tool for this. Or they can draw an upload an image, like the example below:
After everyone has created 6 slides, each one of the participants gets a chance to present what they have done to the rest of the team.
When everyone has done so, you go ahead and vote. Each person should have 6 dot votes. You can vote on a whole pitch, a frame in a pitch or on a specific part of a frame in the pitch.
When everyone has voted you talk about the pitches that has gotten most votes, participants gets the chance to explain why they have voted in a certain way and what excites them
When you have gone through all the votes, it's time to create the master storyboard. You can do this simply by writing in high level what the slide should be. The goal is to capture the overall narrative of the pitch deck and for you to be able to use this as for your first draft.
Finished storyboard might look like this:
